Bloopers of 2019 – Fashion Blogger Edition

Social media, especially Instagram has become a highlight reel. This means people not only will post the most perfect photos but a lot of work goes into creating these “sets” or “allusions”.

I’m not here judging anyone, trust me I get it and I’m 100% guilty of staging or taking a million photos just to get the perfect shot. But I want to stay humble and show the reality of some photos and that life isn’t always picture perfect. So enjoy some of my blog bloopers of 2019!

  1. Hangry blogger. The running joke between my sister and I, is that she won’t feed me “the blogger” till we get the shot. Once I eat I get sleepy so we will shoot a ton of content then eat once it’s all done.

2. When the background doesn’t always go as planned.

-this photo was a hard one to get the shoot because it was crazy humid in a black leather dress plus we had to wait for the crosswalk say walk then run into the middle of the street take a few photos and then run back!

-Had the idea to take cute farmhouse winery photos only to realize the outhouse was literally pointing at me!

B33A6439

3. Half the photos I take my eyes are always closed!

4. Having long hair and dealing with crazy Arizona heat or Washington DC humidity is always a mess.

5. Forgot to smile for the camera

Here are a few more random bloopers from the year!

– Tried to take a blogger “fall leaf photo”, defiantly was a fail!

Blogger dog fail photo

Last but not least, my favorite photo with Marley! He does not like taking photos or videos. I swear as soon as he see’s a camera he turns his head but instead he gave us a very sassy look for this photo!

I love going through and seeing all the bloopers, and it’s a good reminder that life is not picture perfect. But I guess the more photos you take the better chances you will get just the right shot. I hope you all enjoy the rest of 2019 and I will see you in 2020.

SUMMER OUTFIT: Off The Shoulder Women’s Fashion Outfit + White Jeans

Summer casual outfti off the shoulder top with white jeans

Even though it’s August it’s still 105 degrees in Arizona so no fall outfits yet.  I’m still in full summer fashion mood. I am loving off the shoulder tops this summer! They are still causal for work but can be dressed up to go out with friends. When shopping for outfits I’m always looking for tops is that are lightweight material. Arizona is too hot for heavy or thick fabrics. I can’t wait for the weather to cool down but Arizona will be pretty hot for another month or so.

Comment down below if you like off the shoulder tops?

Hornblower Champagne Brunch Cruise

Looking for something fun and unique to do in Newport Beach California? Then this blog post is for you! This past weekend I was in California for a wedding and we decided to stay an extra day to explore Newport Beach area. My sister found the Hornblower Cruise and they have a Champagne brunch cruise on Saturdays! First off I love brunch, and champagne so I was already in love with this idea. You do have to get tickets online in advance. Your ticket includes a 2-hour cruise around the harbor, unlimited champagne, live solo jazz player, brunch buffet and amazing views.

Travel Blogger Bella Hibbs shares the newport hornblower

You are first greeted onto the ship with your choice of a glass of champagne or apple cider. They then will take your party to your table. Most of the tables are near a window so you get a beautiful view of the bay area. Once boarding is completed and everyone has found their tables brunch is promptly served.

The brunch spread was beautiful and delicious. Hornblower brunch cruise offered a huge selection of freshly cooked food.  The breakfast hot entrees were in warming dishes, that ranged from scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, and french toast.  They also have some lunch items, like salad, pasta salad, shrimp and carved turkey or ham. Plus they have fresh fruit and lots of delicious treats. I was so impressed with the quality of the food, everything really tasted amazing. During the whole cruise experience, you will listen to live light jazz music that really sets the ambiance.

Go up early to the top deck and enjoy the amazing views while everyone else is still eating, you will get the whole deck to yourself. The Hornblower champagne brunch offers unlimited champagne but if you want to order mixed drinks or wine there is a bar you can order from.  Also if you knock on the captions door you can ask to get a photo in the captions seat and chat with the caption. Being on the top desk is so much fun! It’s nice to enjoy the beautiful California weather, sip on champagne and be with family.

A few things you should bring with you on your cruise is sunscreen especially when you’re on the top deck. A light jacket, it can get chilly with the wind, along with sunglasses, even if it’s cloudy it can be very bright. I went in June and even though there is June gloom, around noon the clouds disappear.

Overall I would highly recommend doing the Hornblower’s Champagne brunch cruise. I will defiantly be going back to try the dinner cruise. If you are not a local to Newport Beach, CA don’t worry Hornblower Cruises have eight locations ranging from San Diego, San Fransico to New York, check out all eight locations! Be sure to follow them on Facebook and Instagram to see upcoming events. They offer a lot of fun holiday events that look like a blast. It’s perfect for a group of friends or a romantic couple. I can’t express how much fun this cruise is plus how unique this experience was!

Tropical summer romper for women 2019

Well, it’s officially summer, schools out and the temps are starting to rise! I’m going to California in a couple of weeks and started shopping for fun beach/resort wear. I found this tropical print romper at Nordstrom. So I’ll be honest I have a love-hate relationship with rompers. Ladies you all know what I’m talking about because while it’s nice to have the freedom of shorts to move around without being exposed, but then when you go to the bathroom you have to basically take the whole outfit off to use the restroom.

But this romper was so cute and such a fun print I still went for it! It’s a great material, not very thick that you will not sweat and it has pockets! This looks like a dress because of the frill at the bottom but I promise it’s a romper.

I have rounded up some other fun rompers and resort style dresses that you can check out for all your summer vacation needs! I hope you all have a great summer comment below if you have any vacation plans.

How to Avoid holiday stress

While the holidays are a magical time of the year, it can also be filled with lots of stress. I asked on Instagram what stresses folks out during the holidays and I got an overwhelming response. So here are my 3 best tips to avoid that holiday stress!

1. Gifts- The number one response I got from people was gift giving! While gift giving should be a fun part of the holiday season it often comes with a lot of expectations. Expectations that you find the perfect gift or spend lots of money on a gift. My personal view is to just get people what they want and try not to stress about going above and beyond to get the perfect unique gift. Personally, for me, I want to avoid all gift giving stress so I am going to give gift cards this year.

2. Events- This time of year is crazy busy between holiday parties, family get-togethers, and work parties. A good rule of thumb is don’t do 3 events in a row. So example, Monday night you have a board meeting, Tuesday you have a work holiday lunch party then on Wednesday should be a rest day. Build in a rest day/night to decompress, have a nice meal, or just do nothing.

3. Toxic people- Don’t feel obligated to see or spend time with toxic friends or even family members. I know this is probably the hardest tip to follow because “it’s the holidays” and your supposed to spend time with family etc. But you should not have to sacrifice your mental health just to see family or friends. If someone doesn’t make you feel good or comfortable, then don’t have them in your life or at least do your best to limit your time with them.
